If you're anything like me, the gym might be the last thing on your mind right now. I have visions of sugarplums dancing in my head, not dumbbells. But that's usually the time when you need the gym the most. You want to have energy for your family gatherings, and you want to be strong enough to lift all those presents from the car to under your grandma's tree.
But it can be hard to drum up the motivation this time of year. You get overwhelmed with wrapping up work for the year and gearing up for holiday plans. You're not exactly thinking about how much you can improve your bench PR. But come January, the gyms will be flooded with hopefuls, so now is your chance to put in the real effort when nobody else is looking. Or just go full Santa and lean into the milk & cookies bod. Either way is valid, as long as you look at memes too.
