Remember when you were 13 and everyone was obsessed with being edgy? At least that was true in my middle school. Everyone went around whispering "dark humor jokes" to each other and trying to one-up each other's swear word count. It's the first taste of rebellion. And then you get older and you realize being edgy just for the sake of being edgy is futile. If you have nothing real to rage against, your rage becomes… cringe. But some of us maintain our edgy streak, hopefully bolstered by some hard-won attitudes and opinions about the world.
