Following this collaboration, Ancient8 and Optimism will work together to create scalable, decentralized, and user-friendly solutions.

The governance grant provided by Optimism aims to empower existing projects, incentivize new builders, and foster community and culture.

To achieve its aim of empowering builders, the funds will be used to provide resources to enhance the quality and scalability of projects already built on Ancient8 Layer 2.

Also, the project will utilize the funds to enable access to up-to-date technologies in the industry, like Account Abstraction, AI-driven tools, and Superchain interoperability. It will also drive sustainable development through optimized product shipping and distribution pipelines.

Moreso, the funds will be used to attract major IPs and fresh projects to the Superchain by offering tailored support and incentives. Ancient8 also plans to use the funds to strengthen user engagement with online and offline events, such as hackathons, meetups, and tournaments.

Ancient8 acknowledges the grant as a key step toward advancing the vision it has been working on from the start. Collaborating with Optimism and the Superchain will strengthen the Web3 gaming ecosystem and foster greater adoption.

While it is on the move to empower builders and attract millions of web3 users, Ancient8 has disclosed plans to host a web3 Hackathon.

The Ancient8 Builder Jam Hackathon aims to empower innovators, builders, and entrepreneurs to turn bold ideas into reality, offering prizes of up to $400,000.

The event will see Ancient8 collaborate with Kyros Ventures, ZKP Labs, and Orochi Network to shape the future of Web3 gaming jointly.
